So much has happened in the last 2 months since the last post. At the end of February we had a going away party for Mike Means (my brother in law). We celebrated with him as he was preparing to leave to bootcamp in Great Lakes, IL for Naval training. Now in just a few days he will be graduating bootcamp and starting his pre-buds training for Navy Seals. Gosh it feels like just yesterday he had his swearing in to the United States Government (February 2.23.09). It was such a blessing to be a part of this moment and of course very very emotional. David and I (as well as the rest of the family) are so incredibly proud of Michael and his decision to serve our country. We received a letter from him not long ago, he is doing very well. He is already succeeding and using his leadership skills. Due to this he will be graduating a couple ranks higher. What an outstanding job he has done w/his division. Thank you for your continued prayers over him. Also, at the end of February we celebrated the birth of little Miss. Katielynn Patricia Means. This is our newest niece born 5lbs 15oz. She is the cutest little thing. I was reminded of my little bella boo when she was born so tiny and so precious. Proud parents Jacob and Shareen are doing very well and big brothers Joshua and Trevan love their little sister. It is awesome to see our family growing. David and I are doing very well. We began exercising every morning a little over 2 months ago and we are very happy at the physical changes that have taken place. But more so love how incredible we feel. Over the last month many family members have been in town...so many wonderful memories (like grandma darlene's surprise 70th birthday, getting to see uncles, aunts and cousins we don't see often enough and my brother Mark's 40th bday..whew its been busy! Yesterday we celebrated Resurrection Sunday. We had a fantastic time with family at our home. It was complete with a great dinner and a jam session. The Lord has truly been gracious to us. David and I have so so much to be thankful for!
