February 2009

I apologize that I haven't updated in a few months. Life with 2 children is an absolute joy, but busy nonetheless. Since my last post we celebrated my mom's (or Nana's) visit, Grandpa Chris Means birthday, Christmas, New year's, My brother in law Jacob and Shareens move to their new home, The SuperBowl...(haha had to put that in there for my big brother Michael who's been an avid Steelers fan since he could hold a terrible towel)! and just a few days ago David's birthday...whew! And around the corner David and I will be celebrating 5 wonderful years of marriage..Yea! The arrival of my newest niece to be Katielynn Patricia Means (Feb.19th) and my lil' brother in law Michaels send out party Feb.20th and his swearing into the Navy (Feb.26th) where he will immediately board a plane to Chicago for 8 weeks of boot camp and more than likely Navy Seals training thereafter. We are so proud of you Michael! As you can see life continues to be fun-filled! David and I feel tremendously blessed. We spent a little over a month seeking the face of God for direction and wisdom for our lives. Not as a new year's resolution, but more of a much needed time of deep fellowship and intimacy with our heavenly Father. It was a time for us to turn off the busyness of life and focus on a balanced life. Too often, it is easy to start a new year and just go with the flow. Then find yourself in December wondering where the time went. Or you walk out a path paved by your own hands, when in fact we could be walking THE Path that is much more rewarding led by our loving God. We were reminded that life is too short to focus on the cares of the world, or the economy. But to live a life of faith, a life that focuses out on others and not in on self. For us it was quite the humbling experience. Isabella and Isaiah are doing great. Isabella has found a love in reading. Lately you can find her reading out loud. She definitely has her dads photographic memory. And she has decided she wants to be Hannah Montana when she grows up. LOL. She loves to sing. Isaiah is almost 6 months. He loves to roll over on his belly and just recently started "scooting." He looks like a little snail when he does this..but the cutest snail I have ever seen. And he loves the word, "hey". Its quite hilarious to hear him at 5 or 6am saying, "hey" a few times over and over to get anyone to give him attention. I believe 2009 will be an incredible year for us all. I encourage you to declare that for you, your family, and your business. Know that David and I love you and are praying for you! Please let us know how you are all doing. Til’ the next blessed event or two or three!
