On the home stretch...week 36.

7.29.08 Hey All- ...I am finally on the home stretch with my pregnancy. For the most part I have done awesome. There have been the stints of back aches and heartburn that would bring a man to his knees, ha-ha. But overall I am healthy and feeling great. We are still on target to deliver Isaiah David on Aug.19 unless he decides to bless us with his presence earlier. Over the last couple days the contractions have become more frequent but we are still praying he wait a couple more weeks. Since my last post, I had a blessed baby shower and want to thank you for your gifts, your cards, and your wonderful blessings of encouraging words and love. The Lord truly provided and we got just about everything that lil' zaiah needed. That is a huge answer to prayer! Also, I celebrated my 30 something birthday on Thursday. It was a pretty low key day, but those these days are a treasure to me as I prepare for delivery. :-) I will of course keep you posted on the next couple weeks and do thank you for your prayers. On the home front we are ready, Bella is so excited and has helped mommy and daddy get the room all ready for Zaiah and Dad is getting all his Christmas Street music done so he can have daddy time with his lil' boy when he arrives. All is wonderful!

Family Camp 2008 (6.30.08-7.4.08)

HI! We were so incredibly blessed at Family Camp this year! We knew that God would pour out His Spirit and meet us on the mountain top and He did. We spent an incredible week during 4th of July being saturated in the Word, having an awesome time of praise & worship, and fellowship with our dearest friends of Grace North. We were even blessed to share a testimony of what God has done in our lives since last family camp. Not only was the hotel accommodations just beautiful but Prescott, AZ was at least 20 degrees cooler! That in itself was a blessing for sure. Pastors Jerry & Kimberly Dirmann of The Rock church in Anaheim came power packed again this year with a very strong teaching in the Word. It was humbling and very infilling nonetheless. Bella had an incredible time in her class. The theme was "Power Lab" so she and many other kids were able to learn Jesus and learn some fun science crafts as well. She was such a trooper. We had 2 sessions a day and each were 3-4 hours long. But the kids in general didn't mind, they played, had great snacks, learned great lessons and watched cool DVD’s. She cried when we left to go home, now that says a lot! If you ask her what she learned she will sure tell you: Jesus gives us the power to help others, or tell others about God. It’s precious! As for me, I am doing great... coming down my final stretch til Zaiah is born. I had a Dr. appt yesterday and all is well. I have been having some false contractions but they are to be expected. I think he wants to hurry up and meet his big sister since she talks to my tummy each night. We are supposedly scheduled for a C-section on Aug.19th but in my next appt in 2 weeks they will check to see if that needs to be moved and secure the actual date. David and I are excited and know he will come on time! Thank you for your prayers and your encouragement. I have enclosed some pics of family camp. I hope you enjoy them. Please let us know how you and your families are doing. Love and hugs, The Means bunch.
