Our trip to San Diego 4.12.08-4.14.08
We had a blast in San Diego last week. It was absolutely wonderful getting to see my Dad and other family members. Bella did great taking the plane. It helped that it is just an hour flight...Yea!!! Shortly after we arrived, we met my mom off her flight from San Jose. Bella of course was very happy to see her "nana." My brother Mark arrived not long after to pick us up and we spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at Dads house. We did get a chance to get out and experience some yummy Mexican food. This is one of the things I very much look forward to on my visits to San Diego...there is no better place for authentic Mexican food. Unless of course you cook like my pop! The dinner he made was very yummy and complete with the salsa that would send you flying out of your seat...its sooo hot! My dad calls it his "organic blend." The key ingredient.. homegrown Habanero peppers. Yikes! On Sunday we were surprised and definitely blessed. My dad bought us all tickets to SeaWorld. He wanted to take his grand-daughter to see Shamu! It was so much fun despite the record breaking 94 degree heat. Dad did great. (btw, doctors can't find anything wrong anymore with his hip). We all of course know that the Lord healed him!!! God promises in Isaiah that by Jesus stipes we are healed! We rejoice in that!
We also had an opportunity to celebrate my sister's 26th birthday and spend some time with her and my brother Martin. I am so proud of them both! My sis is working on her Masters and my brother after being in the Navy for 4 years is back in school to be a nutritionist. Way to go you two!!! All in all it was a quick trip, but very eventful with some good quality time together.
I hope you enjoy some of the photos we posted. We are so thankful and blessed we were able to all be together. We hope to do it again very soon!
